President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine has developed a plan for a new counter-offensive, but that it needs weapons from its partners to implement it. He said this in an interview with the German tabloid Bild, Komersant ukrainskyi https://www.komersant.info/ reports.

Zelenskyy assured that “we have a plan for a counter-offensive,” but it requires weapons, in particular from the United States.

At the same time, he rejected the option of freezing the war, as, according to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin would use it to prepare for a new attack.

“Of course, some people will be happy. The world will say: ‘Yes, we managed to freeze the conflict, no missiles are flying’. This is only until Russia simply increases production and stocks of military equipment, missiles, drones and analyses all the mistakes it made in the beginning,”

– said the Ukrainian president.

The President added that he categorically warns against believing in frozen wars.

“It looks like a break when you are watching a film. But this is not a film, this is reality. This is a break. But this break is for Putin,”

– Zelenskyy warned those who believe in the positive effect of freezing the war.

According to Zelenskyy, in contrast to Russia, which has more men and weapons, the united West has modern weapons systems that can be decisive for victory.

“If we continue to receive technologies, if we continue to increase production, if we have licences from our partners, then it is not about the number of people,”

– the President explained.

The President also cited the words he says to his 11-year-old son Kyrylo when he asks about the victory: “We will definitely win. We have no alternative. But I can’t promise that and I can’t give you a date.”
