Ukraine defeats Slovakia at Euro 2024: what it means for the national team

The Ukrainian national football team defeated Slovakia in the second round of the European Championship group stage match in Germany. This means that Ukraine is once again in the running to reach the last 16 of Euro 2024, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
Ukraine beat Slovakia 2-1.
The teams met today in Dusseldorf. In the 17th minute, Slovakian Lukas Garaslin sent a free kick into the penalty area, and Ivan Schrantz scored the goal with his head. However, in the second half, the Ukrainians turned the tide. In the 54th minute, Mykola Shaparenko levelled the score. In the 80th minute, Roman Yaremchuk put his team ahead after a record-breaking long pass from Shaparenko.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has already reacted to the victory of the Ukrainian national team. He wrote about the Ukrainian victory on his official Telegram channel.
“The debut victory of our football team at Euro 2024 against Slovakia. Great match, keep it up! Ahead is a tough fight with Belgium for the play-offs. The support of the whole country is with you,” the Prime Minister wrote.
Now football fans are waiting for 25 June. It is on this day that the decisive match against the Belgians will take place for the Ukrainian national team.
