Ukraine under massive shelling: consequences of Russian attacks on June 3

Today, Russian troops carried out another intense shelling of Ukrainian settlements, using various types of weapons against civilian objects. According to preliminary reports, at least 9 people were killed and dozens were injured in the attacks, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Sumy

Sumy suffered the most, where the occupiers struck with rocket artillery directly at a residential area of the city. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported three confirmed casualties and numerous wounded.

The situation is particularly dangerous with an unexploded MLRS shell that pierced the wall of an apartment on the 9th floor of a residential building. A rescue operation involving all services is underway.

Kharkiv region

The situationin Kharkiv region is also critical. Over the past day, 7 settlements were hit by enemy shelling, 3 people were killed and 6 others were injured. Among the dead are two women aged 62 and 64 in the village of Kivsharivka and a 31-year-old man in Balakliya.

The Russians used a powerful arsenal: 17 unguided aerial missiles, 17 guided aerial bombs, more than 20 drones of various types and FPV drones. The post office infrastructure, 6 private houses, a lyceum building, and several businesses were damaged.

Chernihiv

Chernihiv was attacked at night with Shahed attack drones. Four people were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. The strikes targeted the civilian sector – private buildings, shops, infrastructure, and an industrial enterprise. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire.

Odesa

In Odesa in the morning, five civilians were injured by enemy drones. One victim was hospitalized in moderate condition, while the others were treated on the spot. As a result of the attack, a food warehouse caught fire, and residential buildings and cars were damaged.

Donetsk region

Donetsk region suffered 40 attacks over the day. In Sergeevka, the body of a dead man was found under the rubble of a destroyed warehouse building, and rescuers dismantled 42 tons of building structures. A 60-year-old woman was wounded in Dmytrivka. In Sloviansk, Russian strikes caused large-scale fires in two administrative buildings with a total area of 2,250 square meters.

Mykolaiv

In the morning, the Russians fired a hypersonic missile “Kinzhal”. Fortunately, no human casualties were reported. The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, confirmed that the overall situation is under control, but refused to provide photos from the site of the hit for security reasons.
