On July 10, an explosion occurred in Langepas in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District of the Tyumen Region on the main pipeline supplying natural gas to military production facilities in the Orenburg, Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions.

Bloomberg reports this with reference to an informed official of Ukraine’s military intelligence, "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the source, the gas pipeline was blown up as part of a special operation.

Gazprom, which owns and operates the Russian gas pipeline network, did not respond to requests for comment. According to Gazprom, in 2024, almost 396 billion cubic meters of gas were pumped through the pipeline for domestic consumers.

Damage from the explosion of this gas pipeline could exceed $1.3 million (€1.1 million), and indirect losses could amount to $76 million (€65 million). Ukrainian intelligence believes that repair work will take at least a month due to difficult geological conditions in the swampy area.
