Ukraine signs first agreement on arms production in Europe

Ukrainian weapons will be produced in Denmark. The agreement was signed in Copenhagen. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Minister of Strategic Industries German Smetanin on Facebook and an evening address by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Today in Copenhagen, Danish Minister of Industry Morten Bødskov and I signed a historic agreement. It paves the way for the establishment of Ukrainian defense production facilities in Denmark,” Smetanin said.
He noted that Denmark has thus become the first country to which Ukraine exports its own defense technologies for production, scaling and supply to Ukrainian soldiers.
The Minister called it a unique case of international cooperation for the Ukrainian defense industry. He thanked Denmark for such significant assistance to the Ukrainian defense industry.
The Head of State noted that Ukraine had signed the first agreement on arms production. It is a joint production of Ukraine and Denmark.
“This is important both in terms of security and investment,” he explained.
