Ukraine wins the Women’s Euroleague Gold for the third time

The Ukrainian women’s national volleyball team has won the Golden Euroleague title for the third time in its history. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
In the final match of the international tournament under the auspices of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), the women’s national team of Ukraine won a confident victory over the Hungarian team with a score of 3: 1 (25: 16, 23: 25, 25: 15, 25: 17) and for the third time in history won the main trophy of the competition!
The wards of head coach Jakub Hlushak demonstrated a high level of skill and team play:
- reached the Final Four, taking third place in the group (5 wins, 1 defeat – from Sweden);
- in the semifinals, they took a convincing revenge on the reigning champions, the Swedish national team (3:0);
- defeated Hungary in the final, leaving no chance for their rivals.
This is the third title for our national team in the Golden Euroleague, after winning in 2017 and 2023. Thus, Ukraine repeated Serbia’s record for the number of trophies in this tournament, which has been held since 2009.
