In two months, 160 thousand people visited the country’s most popular interactive exhibition. Thanks to this, Ukraine WOW has raised over UAH 6.7 million to support Ukrainian museums. Due to the great interest, the project is being extended for the winter season: the updated exhibition will open on December 4 and will run until January 11, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The interactive exhibition-dedication Ukraine WOW includes more than a hundred exhibits (from Hetman Ivan Mazepa’s saber to boxer Oleksandr Usyk’s championship belt) and dozens of interactive zones that allow you to travel around Ukraine in VR glasses, feel involved in the prominent Ukrainians of the past and proud of how the wow of today is happening despite the great war.
Since September 26, the exhibition has been visited by 160,000 people from all regions of Ukraine and more than 30 other countries. More than 25,000 visitors came free of charge.
“We thank everyone who comes to Ukraine WOW despite the shelling, blackouts and air raids. Those who travel to Ukraine WOW from different parts of Ukraine. Who celebrate their wedding anniversary here, confess their love, shoot their original content, which is then shared on social media. We are pleased to announce that the exhibition has been extended until the end of the school holidays and that new exhibits will appear at the location. First of all, a showcase with Crimean gold, which is kept in the Treasury of the National Museum of History of Ukraine. This is part of the collection for which our country has been suing the Russians in a Dutch court for almost ten years. Also on display will be Panteleimon Kulish’s 1857 Grammar Book, one of the first Ukrainian primers. The Music section will feature a video of Shchedryk performed by one of Ukraine’s most popular bands, Gomin. The hall of modern Ukrainian trophies will also be updated: the Elina Svitolina Cup, Olympic medals of our athletes, and Anatoliy Kokush’s Oscar statuettes will be added. We think that visitors will enjoy the MAGURA marine drone and the huge ivy hat created by Ruslan Baginsky for the Galeries Lafayette showcase in Paris,” say Yaroslava Gres and Yulia Solovey, Ukraine WOW managers.

Among the new exhibits of the exhibition:
– Crimean gold from the Treasury of the National Museum of History of Ukraine: earrings, hryvnias, bracelets, wreaths, pendants, medallions and rings of the 1st century AD and other jewelry;
– Panteleimon Kulish’s “Grammar Book” of 1857;
– a model of a MAGURA marine drone;
– an ivy hat created by Ruslan Baginsky for the Galeries Lafayette showcase in Paris;
– Anatoliy Kokush’s Oscar statuettes, which he received in 2006 for extraordinary scientific and technical achievements in cinematography;
– two NAVI Cups: the Aegis of Champions Cup, The International 2011 in Dota 2 and the Intel Extreme Masters V Hannover 2011 Cup in Counter-Strike 1.6;
– Olympic medals won by Ukrainian athletes in different years;
– Elina Svitolina’s WTA Finals 2018 Cup.
The changes will affect the following installations and photo zones:
– the most popular photo zones of Ukraine WOW – the Tunnel of Love and the pond with water lilies – will freeze;
– in the Artists zone, winter landscapes by Viktor Zaretskyi will come to life with the help of neural networks;
– miniatures of the halls of the National Art Museum of Ukraine, Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, and the National Museum of Literature of Ukraine will appear there, and visitors will be able to see them;
– in the Music area, visitors will be able to use VR glasses to find themselves on the stage of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and listen to the Gomin choir perform Leontovych’s famous Shchedryk.
The interactive exhibition-dedication Ukraine WOW was created by the public organization Ukraine WOW and the Gres Todorchuk agency in cooperation with Ukrzaliznytsia JSC. The expert group included business school lecturer Valerii Pekar, philosopher Anton Drobovych, historian Oleksii Sokyrko, and curator Ksenia Malykh. A team of more than 300 people worked on the project. The key partners of the project were the Aurora network, ROZETKA, Visa, and InterChem and Bolt joined the partners. UPG became the partner of the winter season.
