Ukrainian traveler, investor, and entrepreneur Vitaliy Ostrovsky took part in the suborbital flight of the Blue Origin NS-36 mission, which launched from the spaceport in Texas, USA.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

The NS-36 mission was the 15th tourist flight of Blue Origin, founded by Jeff Bezos. The New Shepard spacecraft ascended to an altitude of 105 kilometers, crossing the Karman line, the conventional boundary between the atmosphere and space.

Thus, Vitaliy Ostrovsky became the first Ukrainian globetrotter to visit all continents, 100 countries and space.

The crew of the Blue Origin NS-36 mission

The NS-36 mission included five other astronauts, including:

  • Dr. Clint Kelly III – a participant of the previous NS-22 mission, a scientist, one of the pioneers in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence. He is the only member of the team who has already had experience flying with Blue Origin.
  • Jeff Elgin is an American entrepreneur and investor known for his work in financial technology and business startup development.
  • Danna Karagussova is a businesswoman and philanthropist who actively supports educational and scientific initiatives in the STEM field.
  • Aaron Newman is a technology entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and founder of several IT companies in the United States, known for his involvement in space tourism programs.
  • William H. Lewis is an engineer and entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in aviation and energy technologies.

The NS-36 mission was another step in the development of private spaceflight and at the same time an important page in the history of Ukrainian space exploration.
