Ukrainian tennis player reaches the semi-finals of Roland Garros

Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostiuk and Romanian Elena Gabriel Ruse have reached the semi-finals of Roland Garros, according to the website of the competition, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
In the quarter-finals, the Ukrainian-Romanian pair were supposed to face “neutral” athletes Vera Zvonareva and Mirra Andreeva, but the latter refused to play.
The refusal was related to Andreeva’s game in the singles quarterfinals against Arina Sobolenko.
In the 1/2 finals, Kostiuk and Ruse will play against Italy’s Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini.
Marta and Elena-Gabriela reached the semi-finals of the Grand Slam tournaments for the second time. in 2023, the girls played at this stage at the Australian Open.
It will be recalled that Marta Kostiuk finished her performances in the individual competition at Roland Garros at the 1/32 finals, losing to Donna Vekic.
