Ukrainian drones attacked the Afip refinery in the Krasnodar Territory

On the night of November 29, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones attacked the Afip oil refinery in the Seversky district of Krasnodar Krai, the region’s operational headquarters reported, [Komersant].
After the attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise with an area of about 250 square meters. The fire was quickly localized and the staff was evacuated. According to the operational headquarters, some of the process equipment was damaged as a result of the attack, while the tanks were not damaged. The farmstead of an agricultural enterprise in the village of Afipsky also caught fire, triggered by the wreckage of a downed drone.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Afipsk refinery has been repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian drones. The refinery was attacked in late September, as well as on August 7 and 28, after which the company had to stop processing at one of its units. Despite not being one of the country’s ten largest refineries, after the 2025 Afipsky reconstruction, it became one of the most powerful in southern Russia: its refining capacity reached 9.1 million tons of oil per year. The site has two primary processing units.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, on the night of November 29, Ukrainian UAVs attacked ten regions of the country and the annexed Crimea. The military department reported the interception and destruction of 103 drones. In particular, 26 drones were shot down over the Belgorod region, 20 over the Rostov region, 11 over the Ryazan region and Krasnodar Territory, five over the Voronezh region, four over the Lipetsk region, three over the Kursk region, and one over the Astrakhan and Volgograd regions.
Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar said that the strikes hit Taganrog, as well as Kamenskoye, Millerovo, Azov and Dubov districts. In Taganrog, an apartment building was damaged, the roof of the dormitory of the College of Construction Industry and Technology was destroyed, and a private house burned down. According to Slyusar, there were no casualties. In Volgograd, according to Governor Andrey Bocharov, four residential buildings and a building materials warehouse were damaged, and two people were injured.
