Six Ukrainian fashion brands have successfully presented their collections at the prestigious Copenhagen Fashion Week, proving that the war cannot stop Ukrainian creativity. A special event “Breakfast with Ukraine” was also held during Copenhagen Fashion Week, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Creativity in spite of challenges

Designers from the brands Nadya Dzyak, Bobkova, Delegan, Sidletskiy, Overthesea, and Serotoninn presented their work at Copenhagen Fashion Week. The event was organized with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Denmark, Fashion for Ukraine and Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Despite the difficult working conditions due to the full-scale war, Ukrainian designers continue to create high-quality collections and impress the international audience. The brands’ production facilities are located in Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Rivne – each retains its unique DNA and authenticity.

Designers’ voices

“We are very grateful to Denmark for supporting the Ukrainian fashion industry – it is incredibly valuable right now,”

– shared her impressions Oksana Delegan, designer of the Delegan brand.

Nadia Dzyak, designer of the eponymous brand, noted the special atmosphere of the Danish capital:

“Copenhagen is a city of free modern fashion and a special vibe: a fashion blogger is running from a show here, and next to him a man is undressing and diving into the canal.”

The participation of Ukrainian brands in Copenhagen Fashion Week is yet another proof of the resilience and talent of the Ukrainian fashion industry, which continues to develop and gain international recognition even in times of war.
