Unmanned Systems Commander Robert Brovdi (“Magyar”) confirmed the strike on the Ryazan refinery and Luhansk oil depot, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The 14th Regiment of the Special Forces, together with the Special Operations Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate and other components of the Defense Forces, attacked the plant in Russia.
“Magyar reminded that the Ryazan refinery is the largest oil refinery in Russia.
“Worm gasoline is becoming a scarce liquid, and gas and oil are becoming fast-burning,” he commented.
Earlier, the Russian telegram channel Astra wrote, citing eyewitnesses, that a refinery in Ryazan was on fire after a drone strike. The governor of the Ryazan region of Russia, Pavel Malkov, said that eight drones were allegedly shot down over the territory of the region at night, and the debris fell on the territory of the industrial enterprise.
In addition, Russian media and telegram channels reported on the evening of September 4 about a large-scale fire in occupied Luhansk. According to reports, the attack was on an important oil depot that supplies fuel to Russian troops.
Since the beginning of 2024, Russian refineries have been regularly attacked by Ukrainian drones. At some refineries, primary oil refining units were out of order and required repair.
