Ukrainian hackers have carried out another cyberattack on Russian network infrastructure in response to Russia’s missile strike on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv on 8 July, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing RBC-Ukraine.

The cyberattack destroyed numerous servers, sent mass text messages “This is for you for Okhmatdyt!”, disrupted network equipment and video surveillance systems, and erased hundreds of terabytes of important data.

The targets of the cyberattack were the Regional Clinical Hospital of Russian Railways Perm, FD-Telecom LLC and VAPK LLC (a Volgograd-based agro-industrial company). In particular, the operation at FD-Telecom destroyed 174 virtual and one physical server, deleted 51 terabytes of information, destroyed the video surveillance system, and caused direct financial losses of RUB 360,000.

A cyberattack on the Perm Regional Clinical Hospital of Russian Railways disabled 70 doctors’ personal computers, destroyed file storages, corporate mail, 12 virtual servers, and three hypervisors. Network equipment, including switches, routers, and internal telephony, was also damaged.

On the personal computers of the staff of the attacked facilities, photos of the destruction and injured children during the missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv on 8 July appeared.

Among other things, the hospital’s answering machine was hacked: when patients tried to call the hospital, the answering machine gave out the truthful information about the criminal actions of the Russian leadership and the war crimes of the Russian army instead of the standard message.

In addition, as a result of the cyberattack, two computers at VAPK LLC were encrypted, along with data of about three terabytes, including acts, invoices, contracts, and accounting documents.
