Ukrainian employers are increasingly offering flexible working hours: the number of such vacancies has increased by 13%

The Ukrainian labor market is gradually adapting to the new needs of employees. According to OLX Job research, in June 2025, the number of vacancies with flexible working hours increased by 13% compared to the same period last year. Most of the offers are in logistics and for beginners.
Logistics leads in terms of the number of offers
Companies in the logistics, warehousing, and delivery sectors are the most active in offering flexible working conditions. There has been a particularly noticeable increase in vacancies for drivers, with 26% more of them than in June 2024. The median salary for such positions is 32.5 thousand hryvnias.

Students and beginners are a priority
The highest growth rate is demonstrated by the category “Starting a career/work for students” – plus 38% compared to last year. Traditionally, the demand for such positions increases in summer due to the activity of students and graduates. The median salary in this category is UAH 12 thousand.
The number of flexible vacancies in the manufacturing sector and blue-collar occupations also increased significantly (21%). Here, they mainly offer jobs in production and field work with a median salary of 22.5 thousand hryvnias.
Not all industries are suitable for flexibility
At the same time, in some industries, the number of vacancies with flexible hours has even decreased. In particular, there are 6% fewer such offers among salespeople.
Professions that require constant physical presence have the least opportunities for flexible working: bartenders, pastry chefs, waiters, coaches, dispatchers, and security guards. Their work directly depends on the work schedule of the institution or facility.
The trend is gaining momentum
The study confirms that employers are gradually adapting to the changing needs of the labor market. Flexible working hours are becoming an important competitive factor in attracting staff, especially in areas where it is technically feasible.
