Ukrainian miltek will face a major efficiency test

The Accounts Chamber has launched a comprehensive audit of the development of defense innovations and technologies, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing the institution’s press service.
The main goal of the large-scale study is to find out how effectively the development of innovative technologies for defense needs is organized during martial law. Experts are to assess whether government agencies are properly supporting Ukrainian technological solutions that are defined as strategically important for the country.
“The audit results are expected to provide recommendations for improving the activities of government agencies in the field of innovation development, in particular, the use of public funds for such purposes,”
– the Accounting Chamber reported.

Particular attention will be paid to the analysis of the activities of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Innovation Development Fund to support the state’s priority technological developments.
The audit involves specialists in controlling the performance of national functions, digital transformation, state property management and economic protection. The audit is headed by Hennadii Plis, a member of the Accounting Chamber.
The results of the study of the state of development of defense innovations and technologies are planned to be published in December 2025.
The Accounting Chamber also launched a financial audit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
