The Ukrainian flag has been in space during the historic SpaceX Polaris mission

A friend of UNITED24, Jared Isaacman, took a blue and yellow flag with the UNITED24 logo on the historic SpaceX Polaris mission. The Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on Telegram, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
He emphasized that it was the world’s first tourist spacewalk, and with the Ukrainian flag at once!
Mykhailo Fedorov also said that Jared Isaacson has been helping Ukraine since 2022. At that time, he joined Scott Kelly’s fundraiser through UNITED24, donating $100,000 for an ambulance.
What is known about the historic SpaceX Polaris mission
The spacecraft of the private company SpaceX was launched on September 10 this year. It was launched by the US space agency NASA from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The SpaceX Polaris mission was commercial.
The crew was led by billionaire businessman Jared Isaacson, who paid for the mission. In 2021, he already flew into space as part of the SpaceX Inspiration4 mission. In addition to Isaacson, the crew included retired military test pilot Scott Potit and two SpaceX employees: engineers Sarah Gillis and Anna Menon.
During the flight, the crew tested a new model of EVA suits developed by SpaceX. They are supposed to be used in flights to the Moon and Mars.
The SpaceX Polaris mission was not only historic, but also a record. The SpaceX ship was at a record distance from the Earth in the history of orbital flights – 1400 kilometers.
And on September 12, 2024, two astronauts, including Isaacson, made the world’s first private spacewalk from a SpaceX capsule in Earth orbit. It happened at an altitude of about 700 kilometers above the Earth.
on September 15, the private SpaceX spacecraft successfully landed off the coast of the US state of Florida after a five-day orbital flight.
