The new ETA-IL entry permit system for Ukrainians will be free of charge until the end of this year, and from 1 January 2025, its cost will be 25 Israeli new shekels (approximately UAH 252). This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel.

“Starting from 1 July this year, citizens of countries that have a visa-free regime with Israel (including Ukraine) will have to apply for an ETA-IL (electronic visa) to enter Israel for up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes,”

– the embassy said.

The permit will be valid for multiple trips for two years from the date of authorisation or until the expiry of the passport, whichever comes first.

The administrative fee for Ukrainian citizens is planned to be introduced in 2025. Until then, the service will be free for Ukrainian citizens.

The Israeli side recommends that you apply for entry at least 72 hours before your trip, before booking airline tickets, hotel and other similar expenses related to your planned trip to Israel.

Theapplication can be submitted at israel-entry.piba.gov.il.

The application is processed by the competent Israeli authority within 24-72 hours.

“From 1 July 2024, the system will operate in a pilot mode for citizens of all other visa-free countries, and from 1 August it will be mandatory for all citizens of countries (including Ukrainians) that have a visa-free regime with Israel,”

– the diplomats added.

It is worth noting that Ukraine has been forced to impose entry restrictions on Israeli citizens, including pilgrims, in response to the change in the rules for Ukrainian citizens entering Israel.
