Ukrainians increasingly distrust the National Bank – survey

this year, 48.1% of respondents reported full and partial confidence in the NBU. Three months ago, the number of such respondents was 52.1%. This is according to a survey conducted by the Razumkov Centre in June, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The number of respondents who found it difficult to answer the question about trust in the National Bank decreased to 9.4% compared to 11.9% in March. At the same time, 36.1% of respondents expressed complete distrust and partial distrust of the Ukrainian central bank, compared to 29.2% last year.

The last time confidence in the regulator was at such a low level was in September 2023.

The balance of trust and distrust of Ukrainians in commercial banks showed similar dynamics, with negative values (in general, a higher percentage of people distrust than trust).

Currently, 57.8% of respondents state that they fully or partially distrust commercial banks (51.1% in March), and only 29% fully or partially trust banks (33.1%). Also, the share of respondents who found it difficult to answer the question about trust in banks dropped to 13.2% (15.9% in March).
