Ukrainians bought new cars worth more than 105 billion over the year: TOP 5 models

At the end of 2023, almost 61 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Ukraine for more than UAH 105.5 billion, according to

According to the association, legal entities spent more than UAH 34.3 billion on cars, while individuals spent about UAH 71.2 billion.
“The largest part of these funds was spent on the purchase of Toyota cars, which amounted to UAH 16.4 billion. The most popular model was the Toyota RAV-4 crossover, with 2934 such cars registered over the year,”

Thesecond most popular brand was BMW, which was worth UAH 13.7 billion. The top model is the BMW X5, with 986 units registered.
Third place went to Mercedes-Benz with UAH 10.9 billion spent, with the best-selling model being the Mercedes-Benz GLE (1,061 units).
VOLKSWAGEN took fourth place with UAH 8.9 billion. The brand’s hit is the VW ID.4 (2655 units).
SKODA rounds out the top five with UAH 5.7 billion. SKODA Kodiaq was in the highest demand (1307 units).

In 2023, hybrid passenger cars became more popular, with more than 17.2 thousand such cars registered. This is 55% more than in the previous year, although 8% less than in 2021.
The total number of vehicles imported to Ukraine in 2023 was almost 400 thousand, the lowest figure in the last three years. Imports decreased by 29.5% compared to 2022.
Also in 2023, the Ukrainian car fleet increased by more than 214 thousand used cars, which is 45% less than in the previous year.
It is worth noting that the market for electric vehicles in Ukraine almost tripled over the year.
