Ukrainians in Thailand warned of danger due to armed clashes with Cambodia

The Ukrainian Embassy in Thailand has advised Ukrainian citizens not to visit areas near the border with Cambodia. This is reported on the Facebook page of the Embassy of Ukraine in Thailand, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“As of July 24, 2025, the Embassy of Ukraine has received reports of armed clashes between the military units of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia in the area of the common border. According to available information, there are victims,” the statement said.
In connection with the current situation, citizens of Ukraine who are in the border areas of Thailand or are planning a trip there are advised to
- strictly follow the instructions of local authorities and security forces;
- follow the updates of official information on the security situation;
- refrain from traveling to the border areas where an increased level of threats has been recorded.

The Embassy continues to monitor the situation on an ongoing basis.
Earlier, the media reported that fighting resumed on the border between Thailand and Cambodia, with the military firing at each other. There are casualties among civilians. Both sides accuse each other of provocations.
