Ukrainians should save electricity consumption every day during peak hours from 19:00 to 22:00. CEO of electricity supplier Yasno Serhiy Kovalenko wrote about this on his Facebook page, Komersant ukrainskyi https://www.komersant.info/ reports.

“You saw and felt everything yourself. You can evaluate it in different ways. You and I can only assess it through the presence of light in homes and production sites,”

– Kovalenko wrote.

He also stressed that energy saving is extremely important in this situation.

“What can we do now? Save consumption during peak hours. And if there are many of us, it will work. Therefore. From 19 to 22 hours. Every day. Please save electricity. Every day. Throughout 2024. Let it become a habit,”

– he wrote.

On 11 April, the Russian military attacked energy infrastructure facilities in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Kyiv, and Odesa regions with drones and missiles.

During the massive attack, the terrorists completely destroyed the Trypillia thermal power plant in Kyiv region. According to Ukrenergo, the company’s substations and generation facilities in Odesa, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya regions were damaged.

The destroyed Trypillia thermal power plant in Kyiv region can be restored. However, due to the constant threat of missile and drone attacks by Russian terrorists and the lack of sufficient air defence systems, it is a futile exercise.
