“Mostly dry weather will dominate. However, that handsome cyclone Gabriel, together with atmospheric fronts, will cause thunderstorms in the western regions. Rains with thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening will reach the northern regions, Vinnytsia and Cherkasy,” the report says.

The forecaster warns that given the intense heat and temperature contrasts at altitudes, sometimes rain can turn into a heavy downpour with a squall in a matter of minutes.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, short-term rains, thunderstorms, hail and squalls with a speed of 15-20 m/s are forecast in the western regions. Significant precipitation is possible in Zakarpattia and Prykarpattia. The night temperature in this region will be 15…20°, in the Carpathians – 12…17°. During the day, the air will warm up to 26…31°.
In the rest of the country, from north to south, the weather will remain mostly dry and hot. Partly cloudy, without significant precipitation, although in Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia and Kyiv regions there may be short-term rain with thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temperatures at night will range from 17…22°, during the day it is expected to be very hot up to 35…39°, in the northern and some central regions it will be slightly cooler – 29…34°.
The wind will be south and southwest, moderate, 7-12 m/s.
