“Ukrgasvydobuvannya and Ukrnafta report on drilling new wells as if in competition

Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC, a member of Naftogaz Group, has launched a well at a newly discovered field. This was reported by the press service of Naftogaz Group, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
As noted, the daily flow rate of the well reaches 170 thousand cubic meters of gas, and the depth is 4202 meters. This is the 15th well at the field since the beginning of the year.
“The new well was drilled in the central part of the field, we plan to drill another one by the end of the year and four more next year,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
According to Serhiy Lahn, acting CEO of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, this result was achieved due to the successful choice of the well site. He noted that this was preceded by earlier 3D seismic surveys and their qualitative analysis, preliminary identification of promising horizons, as well as clarification of their capacity.
“Ukrnafta is not lagging behind
In mid-November, Ukrnafta announced that it had started drilling a new exploration well in western Ukraine. And in early November 2024, Ukrnafta drilled and put into production the deepest well in the last 8 years, with an actual depth of 4,520 meters. As of November 14, the oil flow rate was about 90 tons per day and the gas flow rate was 30 thousand cubic meters per day.
