“Ukrposhta has increased the cost of its services

On 1 October, the cost of services of the postal operator Ukrposhta increased in Ukraine. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the company’s press service.
“Ukrposhta is changing the cost of postage stamps, labelled envelopes and cards.
“Starting in October, in accordance with the amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine, postage stamps, labelled envelopes and cards will be sold with value added tax (VAT) at a rate of 20%,” the company said.
The company also described the types of products and the correspondence of the letter value of the postage stamp to the postal service tariff/money equivalent:
- U – sending an internal simple letter without declared value weighing up to 50 grams – UAH 18.00
- F, M – sending a registered domestic letter without declared value weighing up to 50 grams, a simple letter without declared value weighing more than 50 grams (up to 250 grams inclusive) – UAH 36.00
- A, G – sending a postcard weighing up to 20 grams to foreign countries – $1 excluding VAT (at the rate of the National Bank of Ukraine 20% VAT)
- N, W – sending a non-priority letter weighing up to 50 grams to foreign countries – $1.50 without VAT (at the rate of the National Bank of Ukraine 20% VAT)
- P – additional stamp – $5 (at the NBU rate of 20% VAT).
The cost of envelopes of different formats with a stamp is as follows: a stamped envelope of C6, DL formats with U, V stamps – UAH 21.60; a stamped envelope of C6, DL formats with F stamps – UAH 39.60; a stamped envelope of C5 format with M stamps – UAH 40.80.
