Ukrzaliznytsia will transfer confiscated Russian railcars. What is the value of the assets?

Ukrzaliznytsia will receive 1,592 freight cars confiscated from Russian companies. The estimated value of the rolling stock is about 2.2 billion hryvnia. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The cars are in working order and can be used for freight transportation.
According to her, the cars belonged to sanctioned Russian companies VEB-Leasing, the state development corporation VEB. RF, JSC State Transport Leasing Company, JSC Nord — a subsidiary of Sberbank Leasing, and others.
“Before the full-scale invasion in 2022, the Russians used them to transport goods across Ukraine and European Union countries,” Svyrydenko said.
After the full-scale invasion in 2022, according to Svyrydenko, the railcars remained on Ukrainian territory and were seized. Last year, by a decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, enacted by a presidential decree and approved by law, the railcars were confiscated.
“The government has decided to designate the State Property Fund as the managing body for this property, with subsequent transfer to Ukrzaliznytsia for use. With this decision, we are launching a mechanism for the seizure of the aggressor’s property and its further use,” the prime minister said.
Svyrydenko stated that the railcars are in working order and can be used for freight transportation, including military transportation, until the end of their service life.
