“Ukrzaliznytsia has doubled the Internet limits in Intercity and Intercity high-speed trains. From now on, passengers have access to 2 GB of traffic at a speed of 10 Mbps for free. This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
It is noted that since the launch of Wi-Fi in the Intercity, 750 thousand passengers have used it – in fact, every second passenger on high-speed trains, and the total traffic on board has exceeded 2.3 petabytes.
According to UZ, the most active Wi-Fi users travel on routes 741/742 and 777/778 Kyiv – Lviv, where an average of 66% of passengers on each flight connect to the Internet.
As a reminder, the Internet is available on 16 Intercity trains operated by Ukrzaliznytsia: 10 Hyundai, 2 Skoda, 2 Tarpan and 2 trains with MPLT cars.
“So, when traveling, do not waste a minute of time – communicate with your loved ones, brothers-in-arms, colleagues, partners, and continue to move on schedule,” UZ emphasizes.
It is worth noting that Ukrzaliznytsia is adjusting the schedule of some trains from December 15 to January 13 for technical reasons. In particular, the train No. 8/7 Odesa – Kharkiv, train No. 148/147 Odesa – Kyiv, and train No. 774/773 Kyiv – Shostka will not run during this period.
It should be noted that from December 17 to 20, railroad workers will carry out repair work on the Kolomyia – Chernivtsi section, which will temporarily affect the routes of some passenger and suburban trains.
