Ukrzaliznytsia will temporarily change train traffic: list of destinations

Ukrzaliznytsia will temporarily change the routes of a number of trains due to repair work on the Kolomyia-Chernivtsi section. This was reported by the company’s press service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“From December 17 to 20, the railroad will carry out important repair work on the Kolomyia-Chernivtsi section. These works will temporarily affect the route of some passenger and suburban trains,” the statement said.
It is noted that in the period from December 16 to 19, the following passenger trains will run to Ivano-Frankivsk station as the final station:
- no. 7/8 Kyiv – Chernivtsi
- no. 136/135 Odesa – Chernivtsi
- no. 145/146 Kharkiv – Chernivtsi
- no. 115/116 Zaporizhzhia – Chernivtsi
And from December 17 to 20, they will make return trips from Ivano-Frankivsk.
At the same time, the following trains have been canceled:
- no. 6470/6469 Chernivtsi – Kolomyia – Chernivtsi: from Kolomyia: december 16, 17, 18, 19; from Chernivtsi: december 17, 18, 19, 20;
- no. 6472/6471 Chernivtsi – Kolomyia – Chernivtsi: from Chernivtsi and Kolomyia: december 17, 18, 19, 20;
- no. 6473/6474 Chernivtsi – Vadul-Siret – Chernivtsi: from Chernivtsi and Vadul-Siret: december 17, 18, 19, 20.
Ukrzaliznytsia also announced the launch of a daily international route No. 866/865 – 766/765 Chernivtsi – Rava-Ruska – Warsaw with a change of train in Rava-Ruska. Ticket sales for this train will be opened in the near future.
In addition, ticket sales for the new train No. 146/145 Chernivtsi – Kharkiv are already open. The first trip from Kharkiv will take place on December 20, and from Chernivtsi on December 21.
Ukrzaliznytsia also added that they plan to schedule an additional train from the capital to Chernivtsi for the winter holidays.
It is worth noting that the new schedule for 2025 will include several important novelties for Ukrzaliznytsia passengers. Starting from December 15, five new trips to the mountains will be added, and three to the indomitable Kharkiv. Travel time will be reduced for 38 trains.
