Ukrzaliznytsia launches online ticket sales to Austria

On 18 March, Ukrzaliznytsia started selling online tickets for trains travelling between Ukraine and Austria. This was reported by the press service of the state-owned enterprise, Komersant ukrainskyi reports

Tickets are currently available for the following destinations:

• Kyiv – Vienna: from now on, tickets will be available only online in the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile application with account verification through Diia.Signature.
• Chop – Vienna: online in the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile application and at international ticket offices at railway stations.

It is reported that soon online tickets will also be available for Ukraine-Hungary trains transiting Hungary to Austria, i.e. Kyiv-Budapest-Vienna and Chop-Budapest-Vienna. Direct connections between Ukraine and Hungary (Mukachevo – Debrecen, Mukachevo – Budapest, Chop – Záhony).

It should be noted that the new direct train No. 143/146 Vienna – Chop – Vienna has convenient connections with night trains from Kyiv, Lutsk and Rivne, and from Chop to Vienna it runs in a train with comfortable seating cars with Wi-Fi.
