Umerov reports on the results of trilateral talks in the United States

The United States has completed another stage of trilateral talks with representatives of Ukraine, the United States and European partners on security issues and possible ways to peacefully resolve the war. This was announced by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Who participated in the talks
The Ukrainian delegation was headed by NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov. The delegation also included Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Hnatov.
The talks were attended by:
- representatives of the US administration;
- european partners of Ukraine.
The meeting was part of a series of consultations that Kyiv is holding with its allies on further steps in the field of security and diplomacy.
What is known about the results of the meeting
According to Rustem Umerov, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy was informed of the outcome of the talks.
“We have agreed with our American partners on further steps and the continuation of joint work in the near future,” Umerov said.
The details of the agreements reached have not yet been disclosed, but it is emphasized that the dialogue with partners will continue.
Context of the negotiations
Earlier, Umerov said that a new round of talks involving Ukraine, the United States, and European countries would take place in the United States on December 19. The consultations were expected to cover the following issues:
- security guarantees;
- further military and financial support for Ukraine;
- coordination of allied positions.
Parallel contacts with Russia
At the same time, it is known that a Russian delegation is in Miami, holding separate meetings with the American side. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has previously noted that the Ukrainian delegation is also scheduled to have contacts with US representatives on December 19-20.
The Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly emphasized that any negotiation processes are possible only with due regard for Ukraine’s security interests, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
