NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov will audit the implementation of previously adopted decisions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff. This was reported by
on July 18, during a meeting with the NSDC staff, Umerov identified the key tasks set by President Zelenskyy for the National Security and Defense Council and its staff.
“We discussed clear tasks and priorities with the President. In the near future, we will audit the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Office. We will present an action plan to the President of Ukraine,” he said.
According to Umerov, one of the key tasks of the National Security and Defense Council should be international military cooperation in the supply of weapons.

“The focus is on coordination and control of the security and defense sector, ensuring synchronization of actions of all its components, technological modernization, international military cooperation, in particular on arms supplies and strategic partnerships,” he said.
Umerov noted that a separate block is the resumption of the technological bet as a tool to accelerate innovation in the security and defense sector.
Umerov also emphasized the importance of the negotiation track.
“Ukraine has consistently advocated for a just peace, and we are working to ensure that it is achieved in close coordination with our allies. Peace is through strength,” he emphasized.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Rustem Umerov as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and dismissed Oleksandr Lytvynenko from this position.
