On the night of January 14, Russia attacked Ukraine with three Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov and Voronezh regions. – (RF) and 113 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of strike drones from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – (RF). Chauda, Gvardeyskoye – (TOT AR Crimea), about 70 of them – “Shaheds.” This was reported by the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense forces shot down/suppressed one ballistic missile and 89 enemy UAVs in the east and north of the country.

Two ballistic missiles and 24 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 13 locations, and downed (fragments of) UAVs were recorded falling in three locations.

The attack continues, with several enemy UAVs in the airspace.

Attack on Kyiv

In Kyiv, on the morning of January 14, during a Russian drone attack, air defenses were activated. This was reported by the mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko, and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko.

According to Klitschko, the air defense system was first activated in one of the left-bank districts of the city. There were also reports of a fire in a 16-story building in Obolon, but Tkachenko said it was not related to the attack.

“The fire in the Obolon district is not related to the UAV attack. The causes are being determined,” he said.

Update

After 9:30 a.m., a new air raid alert was announced in the city.

“Air defense systems are operating in Kyiv. Stay in safe places,” Timur Tkachenko urged.
