The defeat of the Russian landing ship Yamal: The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine provides details

In the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, a large amphibious assault ship Yamal of the Russian Federation was attacked. The damage to the ship is critical. This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi 
with reference to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine .
The Strategic Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Facebook that on 23 March, the Ukrainian Defence Forces successfully hit Russian large landing ships Yamal and Azov, a communications centre, and several infrastructure facilities of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol.
The DIU clarified that the 13th shipyard of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol was attacked, where, among other things, the enemy’s large amphibious assault ship Yamal was moored.
According to Ukraine’s military intelligence, the damage to the ship is critical. It is noted that a hole in the upper deck caused the ship to roll to starboard.
“The occupiers are continuously pumping water out of the damaged ship, which took part in the annexation of Crimea and was undergoing repairs from 2017 to 2023,”
– the DIU stressed.
The Intelligence Directorate adds that other details about the aggressor’s losses as a result of a missile attack by the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine against Russian military facilities are being clarified.
By the way, on 24 March, Russian Telegram channels reported that a “well-camouflaged command post with more than two dozen officers in it was hit in Sevastopol.”
