The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the Ministry of Health and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (Derzhprodspozhyvsluzhba) to monitor drug prices, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“Medicines must be accessible to everyone, especially given the cold conditions in homes due to attacks on the power grid and severe frosts. The government has instructed the Ministry of Health and the State Service to monitor prices of medicines. If any violations in pricing are detected, the government will respond and fine such businesses,” Svyrydenko wrote on her Telegram channel.

According to her, a list of medicines will be compiled for this purpose, and the Ministry of Health, together with the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control, will continuously monitor prices in pharmacies, with weekly reports submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
