The Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture has approved the distribution of funds for September applications under the program to compensate 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery and equipment.
This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Economy, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
In September, agricultural producers submitted 541 applications for compensation for 861 units of equipment totaling more than UAH 609 million (including VAT). Partial compensation from the state amounted to UAH 126.9 million.
These are Ukrainian seeders, harvesters, tillage equipment, farm equipment and other machines manufactured with a localization level of more than 60%.
What is known about the program
The program of compensation for 25% of the cost of machinery has been in place since December 2024 as part of the “Made in Ukraine” policy .
It aims to support the domestic machine building and agricultural sector by encouraging farmers to buy Ukrainian machinery.
Deputy Minister Andriy Teliupa said that during the program’s implementation, Ukrainian producers have sold machinery and equipment worth almost UAH 5 billion, and the total amount of compensation has exceeded UAH 1 billion.
“This is more than seven thousand units of new agricultural machinery that are already in operation on farms and processing plants across the country,” the official said.
How to use the program
Agricultural producers registered in the State Agrarian Register can apply for compensation until December 5, 2025.
Support is provided for equipment with a localization level of at least 60%, and special conditions apply for certain categories – tractors, combines, self-propelled sprayers and grain carriers.
What preceded it
In October, the Ministry also approved 30 new grants for processing companies totaling UAH 168.7 million, and on October 8, registration for two new grant programs for self-employed individuals, micro and small businesses started.
The government promises to continue funding the program in 2025 to support Ukrainian machinery manufacturers and at the same time reduce the agricultural sector’s dependence on imports.
The program remains one of the key instruments of industrial policy that combines the development of local production and stimulation of agricultural business.
