25 December 19:50

on December 24, the Ukrainian government decided to include the Rokytne Eco Park industrial park in the Register of Industrial Parks. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

The project will be implemented in the Rokytne community of the Bila Tserkva district of Kyiv region, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture reported.

Who is implementing the project and where

The industrial park was initiated by Rokytnyansky Sugar Plant LLC. The total area of the site is more than 10 hectares.

The ministry notes that the park’s development concept is focused on the processing industry and provides for the creation of about 400 new jobs.

Investments and funding sources

It is planned to raise about UAH 540.4 million for the development of Rokytne Eco Park. Funding is expected to come from several sources:

  • the initiator’s own investments
  • funds of the management company;
  • government incentives;
  • private financing;
  • investments of future park participants.

The Ministry of Economy also emphasized that the partnership model of the project has already been formed. The initiator has signed an agreement on the creation and operation of the park with the management company TEO GREEN INVEST LLC.

First participants and development plans

According to preliminary agreements, Ukraine 2001 plans to invest about UAH 467 million in the development of its own production facilities in the industrial park.

The residents of Rokytne Eco Park are expected to work in the following areas

  • food production
  • processing of agricultural products;
  • production of building materials;
  • alternative energy.

Industrial parks as a recovery tool

According to the Ministry, there are currently 116 sites in the Register of Industrial Parks. For comparison, in the second half of November, there were 110, indicating a systematic increase in the number of such sites.

The government sees the development of industrial parks as one of the key tools for economic recovery, attracting investment and creating jobs, especially in regions where it is important to quickly launch production with ready-made infrastructure.

The inclusion of Rokytne Eco Park in the state register opens up opportunities for tax and infrastructure incentives. The next step will be to attract residents and actually launch production sites, the efficiency of which will determine the economic impact for the community and the region as a whole.
