The Government launches the “Schoolchildren’s Package” payment: uAH 5000 for families of first-graders

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has introduced a new financial aid called the Schoolchild’s Package. Every family whose child enters the first grade this year for offline learning will be able to receive 5,000 hryvnias to prepare for school.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
The funds can be spent on stationery, books, clothes and shoes for a first-grader. An application for assistance will have to be submitted through the state application “Diia”. The funds can be spent exclusively in non-cash form – payment will be made by bank card.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this payment will not affect the receipt of housing subsidies or other types of social assistance.
“The launch of the “Schoolchildren’s Package” is just one of the steps aimed at creating conditions for Ukrainians to stay and work in Ukraine,” Shmyhal added.
