The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to change the coordination mechanism of the ARMA. From now on, the activities of the Agency for the Management of Seized Assets will be coordinated directly by the Prime Minister of Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko in her Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Previously, the ARMA was coordinated through other government agencies, which sometimes slowed down the management and disposal of assets derived from corruption and other crimes. The change in subordination is intended to increase the agency’s efficiency and ensure prompt control by the government.
“The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the coordination of the National Agency of Ukraine for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes. ARMA’s activities are now under the coordination of the Prime Minister of Ukraine,” said Svyrydenko.

What does ARMA do?
The National Agency for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets is a key body in the system of recovery and management of property involved in criminal proceedings or obtained through criminal means.
The main functions of ARMA include:
- identifying and tracing assets that may be seized in criminal cases;
- management of seized property to preserve its value;
- realization or transfer of assets to the state revenue by court decision;
- controlling the transparency and legality of property management processes to minimize the risks of abuse.
In fact, ARMA plays an important role in the fight against corruption and organized crime by ensuring that illegally obtained assets do not lose value and work in the interests of the state.
The change in the “rules of the game” for ARMA comes amid increased attention to the effectiveness of anti-corruption institutions and asset management in wartime.
