Tomorrow: “Bukovel announces the start date of the ski season

on December 28, the winter season officially begins at the Bukovel ski resort.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the resort’s administration.
After a several-week delay due to a lack of natural snow cover, the resort has received sufficient weather conditions to launch the slopes. The region has experienced snowfall, and the temperature regime has allowed the slopes to be prepared for skiing.
The resort’s administration notes that the season launch was made possible by stabilizing weather conditions and forming the necessary snow cushion. At the same time, some slopes may be opened in stages depending on the condition of the surface.
As of the end of December, localized but intense snowfalls were recorded in the Carpathians, which allowed for the formation of a uniform layer of snow on the main slopes of the resort.
The administration also informs that in the coming days they plan to expand the number of available slopes, depending on further weather conditions.
Traditionally, the ski season in Bukovel starts in late November and early December. This year’s opening was postponed due to the lack of stable natural snow cover.
