19 mobile apps with illegal gambling content blocked on Google Play

As a result of cooperation between CRGL and Google LLC, 19 mobile applications with illegal gambling have been blocked on the Google Play digital distribution platform. This was reported by the Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (CRGL), "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“CRGL strengthens counteraction to the negative consequences of gambling on the Internet in connection with the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine of 20 April 2024 “On counteracting the negative consequences of gambling on the Internet”, enacted by the Decree of the President of Ukraine of 20 April 2024 No. 234/2024,” the commission said in a statement.
It is noted that the NSDC decision was made to protect the rights and legitimate interests of Ukrainian citizens and prevent the aggressor state from using the peculiarities of the gambling sector.
KRAIL has asked Ukrainians to report illegal gambling apps on international digital distribution platforms to KRAIL using a special electronic form Reporting Gambling Violations, which is available in the section “Reporting Gambling Violations” on the main page of the official KRAIL website, or call the toll-free hotline: (0800) 50-13-77.
