Ferry with 280 people on board catches fire in Indonesia

The ferry KM Barcelona VA caught fire off the coast of Indonesia, with 280 passengers on board, many of whom jumped into the sea in panic.

The publication points out that after thick black smoke began to pour from the lower decks, panic broke out on the ferry. Eyewitnesses posted footage on social media showing people screaming and asking for help. In addition, a video is circulating showing employees helping passengers fasten their life jackets before jumping off the crowded ferry.
