Palladium club temporarily closed in Odesa because of Russian music: what is known

The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, has signed a joint order with the military command that bans the operation of the Palladium hotel and restaurant complex for the period of the inspection of Russian-language content. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Kiper’s statement.
According to Oleg Kiper, the head of the OVA, the order to temporarily suspend the activities of the Palladium hotel and restaurant complex was issued jointly with the military command. The establishment will not operate for the period of the inspection of compliance with the requirements of the language legislation.
“Odesa is a Ukrainian city. Ukraine should be heard here,” Kiper emphasized.
The reason for the closure is a violation of the law on the state language
on October 31, during a mass event at the Palladium club, a DJ played a Russian track in front of an audience of more than a thousand people. The event caused outrage on social media and a reaction from the authorities.
Oleg Kiper emphasized that all catering, recreation, entertainment and trade establishments in the region are obliged to comply with Ukrainian legislation, including the language law, public order rules and martial law requirements.
“Departments of the Civil-Military Administration, heads of communities and other relevant government agencies have been instructed to conduct inspections and explain to entrepreneurs. Such violations are unacceptable,” added the head of the region.
