Emergency power outages due to damaged equipment were introduced in Odesa on Thursday, December 25. This was reported by the head of the Odesa MVA Serhiy Lysak on Telegram, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to him, thanks to the Defense Forces, the night passed calmly. He expressed his gratitude to them. The situation in the city is now under control, but emergency blackouts have been introduced.
“Emergency blackouts have been introduced in Odesa to prevent overloading of damaged equipment. DTEK power engineers continue local repair and restoration works,” the statement said.
The official added that the emergency points are operating in Odesa. They are open and equipped with everything necessary.
“The city’s utilities and emergency services are working in an enhanced mode,” the head of the MVA summarized.
