More than 430 thousand subscribers in Odesa region are still without power after a massive Russian attack. New strikes have also caused blackouts in two other regions, and blackout schedules are underway in some regions,

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Ministry of Energy.

“The situation in Ukraine’s power system remains difficult but under control. Russia strikes daily at electricity generation, transmission and distribution facilities, primarily in the border and frontline regions,” the statement said.

According to the Ministry of Energy, Odesa region suffered one of the most massive attacks over the weekend. The enemy targeted electricity distribution and transmission facilities, including substations of NPC Ukrenergo. Consumers in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions were temporarily left without electricity.

According to the agency, over the weekend, power engineers managed to restore power supply to more than 184,000 consumers and critical infrastructure facilities in Odesa and the region.

“At the same time, more than 430,000 customers in the region are still without power. Emergency repairworks are ongoing. In Mykolaiv region, power supply has already been restored to more than 345 thousand consumers,” the Ministry of Energy said.

Meanwhile, Ukrenergo added that last night the enemy carried out drone strikes on power facilities in several regions. As a result, consumers in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovs’k regions are without power in the morning.

In Dnipropetrovs’k region, an employee of the energy sector was wounded as a result of repeated enemy shelling of a power facility. He was taken to hospital and is receiving the necessary medical care.

Due to the damage to the energy infrastructure, hourly blackouts continue to be in effect in some regions of Ukraine. The situation is gradually improving across the country, except for the southern regions.

The attack on southern Ukraine and the aftermath
