Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Pavlo Palisa said that Ukraine will not stop mobilization even if a ceasefire with Russia comes. This is due to the need to keep the Armed Forces’ readiness to perform tasks at the proper level. He said this in an interview with Suspilne, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

“Even if there is a ceasefire tomorrow, mobilization will not stop. For some time, this process will continue, because we still need to maintain the degree of readiness of the Armed Forces to fulfill priority tasks at the proper level, no matter how much we want to,” Palisa said.

According to him, even with all the desire, it is impossible to let go of all those who have been fighting in the Defense Forces since 2022. There must be people who will replace these defenders.

Palisa clarified that the issue is planned to be resolved in a way that does not harm the country’s defense capabilities. They do not want to drive anyone into eternal slavery. Both the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff are to present their plan soon.

The deputy head of the OP also noted that over the past four months there has been a positive trend in mobilization.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law initiated by the Ministry of Defense to amend the legislation to provide a 12-month deferral from mobilization for volunteers who served under Contract 18-24.
