Several cases of cholera have been recorded in Russia this year

Four cases of imported cholera were registered in Russia in 2025 – all infected people came from India.
This was reported by the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, in an interview with Russian media, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to Popova, all those who fell ill received timely medical care and are now healthy.
“In case of clinical symptoms of cholera, a person is literally saved by doctors,” she said.
The head of the department drew attention to the rapid development of the disease.
“The deterioration of the condition occurs very quickly. Most often, people do not attach importance to the first symptoms,” Popova said.
