Four mobile scanning systems manufactured by the American company Varex Imaging have already been delivered to Ukraine and are currently operating at border crossing points in test mode.

This was reported by the press service of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

A key feature of the new mobile systems is the integrated use of artificial intelligence for image analysis. Innovative software automatically detects potential risks and anomalies, minimizing the human factor and increasing the accuracy of customs control.

In addition, the equipment is versatile and capable of effectively scanning both freight vehicles and passenger cars and minibuses, allowing for flexible use of the systems depending on the structure of traffic flow.

“The latest equipment has been deployed at strategically important sections of the Ukrainian-Polish border, specifically at the ‘Yagodin,’ ‘Rava-Ruska,’ and ‘Krakivets’ border crossing points.” At the same time, following the completion of reconstruction work at the “Shehyni” border crossing point, the scanning system will also be put into operation at this location. The delivery was carried out under the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Poland on the provision of a loan on tied aid terms,” the statement reads.

The use of mobile scanning systems will help speed up customs control and clearance procedures. Thanks to high mobility and scanning speed, the time required to inspect vehicles is significantly reduced, which will help increase the throughput capacity of border crossing points, especially during periods of high traffic.

Equipment from Varex Imaging Corporation is used in more than 150 countries worldwide and is valued for its high reliability.
