Tomahawk missiles may appear in Ukraine – expert names prerequisites

There is every reason to expect Tomahawk missiles to appear in Ukraine in the near future.
Oleksandr Kondratenko, a political strategist, military analyst and former fighter of the Hort special forces, said this in an interview on the Kommersant Ukrainian YouTube channel.
If we analyze the period since 2022 and all the information waves related to the supply of weapons – when it came to HIMARS, long-range “sevens”, Storm Shadow, F-16, Leopards, Abrams and other types of equipment – each of these samples appeared in Ukraine after a certain period of time, the expert emphasizes.
“If we are conditionally given one missile, it will not change anything. A hundred missiles will not change anything either, but it will be a signal. A signal that the Western world is not giving up on Ukraine. And even if these missiles are stored in warehouses somewhere in the west of the country, it will be a symbol.
Whatever Putin says about escalation, we have already heard it after every point I mentioned above. I am sure that the sale will take place through third countries,” said Oleksandr Kondratenko.
According to the expert, this deal will not happen immediately. Over the past 5-7 years, Tomahawk missiles have been sold to six countries. The Netherlands was the last to buy them for a significant amount, about $2 billion, although the cost of one missile is up to $4 million.
“And the Netherlands are our allies. They give us a lot of things. Therefore, I do not rule out that some of these missiles may end up in Ukraine. I hope it will happen,” the expert emphasized.
As a reminder, Tomahawk missiles are subsonic cruise missiles with a range of up to 2500 km (depending on the modification), a speed of about 885 km/h and high accuracy (about 5-10 meters). They have low radar visibility and are capable of flying at ultra-low altitudes, which makes them difficult to intercept. The missile can carry various warheads – conventional, cluster, and in early versions, nuclear.
