Ukraine has launched an analytical data dashboard with statistics on business investigations has been launched in Ukraine. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" reports with reference to the Office of the President.

The dashboard is a visualised application to the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations (URPI) system that provides access to analytical data and statistics on the investigation of offences in the field of economic and investment activity.

Why the new dashboard is useful

It allows real-time analysis of statistics on the work of law enforcement agencies in relation to economic crimes, as well as positive and negative trends. It collects and combines data on the statistics of investigations and court proceedings in business-related cases in a format that is easy to analyse and understand.

The dashboard is already already in operation in beta mode and is freely available on the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office. The Office’s specialists will collect user feedback and use it to improve this digital tool. The Office plans to expand the number of open data sets for analysis in the near future.

According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, there used to be no tool in Ukraine that would help analyse the real state of affairs in the investigation of criminal offences against businesses, and this information was generally closed. But with the launch of the dashboard, anyone can see how many cases against businesses are open, filter them by a specific article or period, and separately by the authorities investigating the cases.

Who can use the dashboard

The new digital tool will be useful:

  • Citizens – entrepreneurs, top civil servants, journalists or anyone else – will be able to view analytics and statistics on cases of law enforcement work with economic crimes. This will allow them to see the real situation, track its dynamics and trends.
  • For the Prosecutor General’s Office, this is an opportunity to see a clear picture of the state of affairs in the field of economic crime and analyse it. It will also allow them to identify problems, such as abuses by law enforcement officers, identify anomalies and make appropriate decisions.
