Frosts down to -14 and gale force winds to hit Ukraine

A new air mass of Arctic origin is entering Ukraine, which will bring a significant cold snap at the end of the year and in early January. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Another air mass of Arctic origin is coming to Ukraine. And in human terms, we are getting colder,” she said.
According to the forecaster, Tuesday, December 30, will be a transitional day.
“On December 30, it will be a somewhat transitional day-night: -2-6 degrees at night, 1-3 degrees during the day.” Periodic light snow is expected, and ice is expected on the roads. Wind is also expected to increase. Northwest, westerly, gusty winds are expected in the western regions, as well as in Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia and Chernihiv regions, with storm gusts of up to 15-20 meters per second,” Didenko warned.
It will be coldest on New Year’s Eve and on the first day of 2026.
“On December 31 and January 1, frosts in Ukraine will intensify. At night it will be -7-14 degrees, during the day -2-7 degrees.” At the same time, snow will remain and cold winds will increase. Warming in Ukraine is expected to start on January 3,” summarized Ms. Didenko.
