Ukraine will have new opportunities to fight enemy drones

8 November 2024 12:08

The Ukrainian military will receive air defense missiles from Estonian defense company Frankenburg Technologies for testing. The first samples for testing will be delivered in the coming months. This was agreed upon at a meeting in Kyiv between Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Brigadier General Anatoliy Klochko and the company’s management, reports [Kommersant].

These missiles are designed primarily to counter UAVs and are capable of shooting down targets at an altitude of up to 2 km.

Another area of countering drones is electronic warfare

Since January 2024, the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense has contracted more than 11,000 electronic warfare systems worth more than UAH 6 billion. This will allow the Armed Forces to counter enemy drones much more effectively and save the lives of our military.

The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that most of the purchased electronic warfare equipment is made in Ukraine.
